I feel so cooked bro. Im a cyber major with 0 background but proficiency in java and other languages. I could get a software development job today but its not what i want. I feel like im walking into a sales job market with an astrophysics degree
You’re probably gonna need more than “proficient in Java” to get a software dev job today

Try getting a cert in tryhackme they have more interactive learning material. And also have events where you’re playing scenarios like having to send phishing emails and they’ll instruct you on how to do just that

CS major, I just recently got a software engineering position with a decent Fortune 500 company. My projects and demonstration of my applicable skills is what got me the job. Our job market is fried but it’s broad. You’ll most likely find something you are interested in

It was an exaggeration to show how immensely different in progression i am in comparison to the two fields. I dont think i could actually even get one in the next year.

Ive been trying to take that route into just the application and demonstration rather than showing where and what my education was. However, i feel like with the whole ai industry blowing up, my projects look less and less unique and impressive.
