omg ur actually dense babes i work for a government contractor as well with way more clarity and by far BY FAR even my senior engineers on the team agree that palantir’s work is insane? is this some cia schtick like go use google? what warped world do u live in that their work isnt fucked up? and ofc not ALL of their work is bad but the work that is bad (supported by even the lower level employees efforts) is extremely fucked up. holy shit ur so disconnected from life LMAOOOO

You realize palantir doesn’t initiate drone strikes on anyone right? No ofc you don’t realize that major face palm 🤦 That has to do with militaries who employ their software. They make logistics software. Some of you are so arrogant and think you have any idea what you’re talking about it’s unbelievable. Some of it is used for military logistics. Weird to be more mad at palantir than raytheon or lockheed for making the ordinance that’s actually used in the bomb

Palenteir was responsible for identifying drone strike locations that included a girls school in Iran that resulted in almost 170 student deaths. Alternatively RTX just makes the bombs. Up to whoever uses them to determine where they get dropped. Both are part of the military industrial complex, but one is known for some pretty fucked up bugs along the way.

It’s not a fucked up “bug”, it’s actually exactly how you would expect something like that to work and the human that signed off on those targets didn’t verify them and trusted that a machine knew what it was doing better than a human could and didn’t even bother looking. It’s like getting mad at google for making google maps and some school shooter used it to carry out his attack.

Palantir wasn’t responsible for identifying anything. They sold software to a state entity. That state entities military used the software for target selection then didn’t do their jobs correctly. That’s about it The school was right next to an Iranian army barracks / installation. That was likely the intended target that somehow either used old data or who knows.

If you *choose* to work at Palantir, just know you chose the consequences you’ll eventually receive. it’s ironic because we’re taught about the various codes of ethics that apply to our work, only for people like you to later delude yourselves out of them. at a bare minimum, Palantir does nothing for the public good, and actively constitutes a threat towards the public. remember that next time you want to glaze the fuck out of self-avowed fascists.
