i don’t use VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS. i don’t use CONDA. i don’t use DOCKER. i pip install my packages GLOBALLY. and if i have a conflict then I QUIT THE PROJECT.
I wish Ruby won the “script wars”over Python; dealing with RubyGems is mostly a pleasure/straightforward

yeah python tooling is absolutely awful. I'm glad uv exists it makes it at least somewhat bearable
oh also please don't ignore pip yelling at you to not install stuff globally, I completely fucked my Gentoo system by doing that. took days to untangle

Deno is a better more polished product in almost every way. you can even create self contained binaries with basically no setup

I'm not a python dev so the only time I ever wanna install a pip package IS when I want it installed globally, like a command line tool
