Not really complicated, he was a serviceable game manager who stayed in college as long as possible because he had zero chance of playing at the next level.

I think he’ll make it to the NFL whether he gets drafted or not, but maybe not a starter. I could see him ending up like Stetson Bennett

My hunch is he'll get signed to a practice squad and slowly climb the ranks, maybe starting a season or two eventually

The recency bias here is striking. Carson Beck was a highly touted NFL prospect headed into 2024 that would’ve declared last year if not for his injury. Even with his inconsistency last year he gets drafted if not for his injury. He probably still gets drafted late this year.
