I watched all the angles and it was clearly a tie catch, tie catch goes to offense. As for the holding, it was iffy and there’s iffy holding on 90% of plays if you look at them. Refs were more worried about looking for holding than they were verifying the touchdown because at the end of the day the acc has been cannibalizing itself and a business is going to put it’s own best interests at heart.
First of all the initial call being Miami catch when to even the announcers it looked like fsu catch should be telling that the acc refs were trying to sway the game. Second of all post a picture of these “angles”, third and most importantly the play before that lead to that one was a bs holding call anyways. Anyone who’s been around in this sport knows there’s certain times you don’t call holding like when it isn’t blatant and has 0 effect on the play. They LOOKED for holding to protect the acc
I agree with the holding the 2nd touchdown shouldn’t matter because it should have been a touchdown the play before it makes sense why Miami has the refs on their side because if Miami loses and than loses to notre dame which by this performance is very likely the acc would potentially not have a team in the playoff and that cannot happen lol
It’s the fact that the acc is propping up a team that leaves a foul taste in my mouth. Even on the official review of the final play (which you didn’t see from at the game) the acc didn’t actually try to overturn the call or verify that it was caught by fsu as a tie catch, they only checked the Miami defender and kept saying “guys the ruling should stand” as if reminding everyone else
