Yeah but tell that to the committee. They have to pass a unanimous vote to change the playoff rules. You wanna know who the members of that committee are? It’s made up of the commissioners of each conference, plus one more member. You’ll never guess who that one extra member whose vote counts the same as an entire conference is.

Yeah which is dumb. If I was notre dame I wouldn’t wanna join cause I get way more money for winning bowl games/ cfp, you get your own tv rights too which makes you more money in the long run, and don’t have to play in a chip so free bye week every single year when they are in the cfp.

Yeah which is why the Notre Dame AD who is on that playoff rules committee will never vote yes on anything that hurts Notre Dame’s playoff chances

Yes true but they still need to change it. Then there’s no point in any teams being in one. But that’s another discussion. Plus they need to fix the whole cfp cause I think it’s unfair that some teams can rest all weekend and the people playing in the conference championship will be a lil banged up. I think you should have to prove your worth and play.
