Texas is taking about the Ohio State loss like they lost to an NFL team. Like you’re saying you want to make the playoffs to compete for the national championship, why didn’t you just beat Ohio State? If you made it you’d probably have to play them anyway

I don't even care that they lost to Ohio State, if you want to go to the playoffs you have to beat your Floridas, you can't be taken to overtime by two conference bottom feeders back to back. I'm convinced they're crying about "quality losses" to draw attention away from the rest of their season.

Whoever you think should make it instead of them will lose to osu by more than 7 if they play them

Would those teams also lose to Florida?

Idk but they wouldn’t beat A&M and OU. In fact one of them (notre dame) lost to A&M. By giving up 41 points. lol.

It’s interesting that nobody is talking about how their wins rival anyone’s. And surpass most of the teams that will be in the playoffs instead of

I agree, it seems odd to me how losses matter way more than wins when determining ranking, but if I had to guess I think the committee is using wins as a metric of peak abilities and losses as a metric of consistency. In a playoff bracket you typically want the teams that are consistent since you know you'll get good games from them, but the 12 team expanded bracket allows for some less predictable teams to add to the mix.
