I am normally a Notre dame hater but they definitely deserve their ranking at this moment in time.

Tbf you can’t reward Alabama too much after losing. But it’s clear Georgia, OSU, and Alabama are the 3 best teams in the country

Literally identical resume to Northwestern and they’re ranked but Nebraska isn’t. Casual Nebraska hate. Honestly we deserve it. We can never win.

They did really well against the “top 5” team and got not respect for it

Texas should be ranked above ohio state

Ohio State lost by one on the road in prime time. Since then Ohio State has looked damn good. Texas struggled massively against an overrated Tennessee team and then lost to a bad Oklahoma team that lost to a Michigan team that lost to Minnesota and Iowa whom Ohio State then beat pretty good.

Who should?

Oklahoma is not good they absolutely should not be ranked. Texas should have dropped much farther. At least behind Utah

Anonymous replying to -> #9 16h

they just beat the #1 team in the nation? the same team who beat ohio state which most people say they are the best team in the nation. so really if oklahoma isn’t good, texas isn’t good, and neither is ohio state

Everyone but you knew that Texas was a D1 fraud apparently. 😂 They are not good. Their defense has some phenomenal playmakers, but the unit is undisciplined. Their offense is terrible. Arch is terrible. OU isn’t good either, but rivalries bring out the best and the worst in teams.

Oklahoma is bad and Texas should be dropped out of the ranks for losing to them

Texas shit the bed in a rivalry game. That happens all the time. Oklahoma is not a good team tho. It’s pretty clear that Oklahoma isn’t good. Rivalry games are just different. Texas should have taken a bigger plunge tho for sure

I’d go Alabama personally. They slightly lost to Georgia. You know what number is slightly worse than 1? 2

So?

So I don’t necessarily disagree, I think Georgia and Bama are the two best teams. But jumping them spots in the rankings after a loss is just loco. They should be satisfied with not being dropped. There’s also really no clear best team in college football and Notre Dame has played their opponents very well

Georgia is number one but they along with everyone else haven’t exactly been all that impressive

There is literally nothing necessarily wrong with going up after a loss. You’ve accepted AP poll programming but you don’t have to and you can stop at any time. It doesn’t matter if Georgia has impressed you. That’s an appeal to emotion and you should be ranking rationally.

Alabama, I know it’s not realistic with a loss but it’s very very clear that georgia and alabama are the best 2 teams in the country … that game could’ve easily been bamas game

And Alabama LOST! Period.

Ranking rationally would include Ole Miss being far away from the Top 10. And rationally you don’t boost someone when they lose and everyone else in front of them won. That’s not rational.

Nebraska was undefeated before that game. They lost by 3 at home to suffer their first loss of the season just like Alabama against Georgia. Only difference is Indiana is coming off a national championship victory while Georgia is coming off of yet another quarterfinal exit.

True about Ole Miss. Their best win is #21 and they were BTFO by an unranked team. And of course you can move someone up in that scenario. Wins and losses are relative. Rational rankings require nuance, not sweeping habits you apply without thinking.

Also, ignoring new information because you would have to admit you were wrong the previous week is not only irrational, it’s insecure. Have confidence.

The whole ranking system is so dumb. That’s why they shouldn’t even rank until this week when everyone has 5-6 games played. Preseason rankings hold way too much weight over the whole season.

Seriously? Alabama fan but I would take Georgia by 20 in Indiana. Cignetti the guy, but Georgia is too physical. This isn’t about last year, because a lot has changed with both Indiana and Georgia since last year. And Georgia is just to physically dominant for Indiana

And what has happened since that game? Ohio State has outscored their opponents by far more than Texas and has convincing wins over a quality team on the road. Texas barely beat Tennessee that struggled against a mid Auburn and an awful Arkansas and then lost in a neutral location to Oklahoma. How teams play later in the season has always mattered in polling. As for your last bit about the woke shit you can just admit that you were one of the children that got left behind next time.

Nebraska should be in the top 15. They will be before the seasons over.
