This is a huge part of why I love college football so much, NFL rivalries are so much lamer (with the possible exception of Falcons-Saints, I’ve seen some crazy shit come from that)

i’m a VERY casual Ravens fan but i don’t give a shit about the Steelers. like it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. i think part of it too is like stories from ages ago of students doing stuff to/at the other school like days before the game add to the history. also college football’s been a thing since the 1890s
