I think Notre Dame is the best team of the 4. But you can’t ignore the head to head victory Miami has over them. I’m an SEC homer and don’t think Texas or Vandy should make it. It should be Miami and Notre Dame, kick Bama out for -3 rushing yards in a conference title, not for losing.

Extremely loud incorrect buzzer noise. 2017 Auburn, 2018 Georgia, 2019 Georgia, and 2023 Georgia were all bounced out of a playoff spot with an SEC Championship loss and I don’t see anyone “declining” the chance to play in the game.

2023 uga had 1 loss and didn’t have a conference title everyone else did. 2019 uga had 2 losses and no conference title while everyone else who made it did. 2018 uga was never in the playoffs 2017 Auburn got moved out because people like you would bitch if a 3 loss team got in the 4 team playoff

In the 4 team you had to win the conference title because your resume would not be good enough if you did not, that is not true anymore

bama shouldnt have been in the top 10 going into that game so i wouldnt argue its a punishment at all. but if you get blown out and nearly shut out in december its a bad look, conference championship or not. especially when you’re 2-2 in your last 4 games

You give all these reasons why those teams ended up missing, but you don’t think #9 team losing a game by 21 points with -3 rushing yards on the night moves to at least 11? You are delusional and on top of that there were plenty of teams that made the 4 team playoff without a conference title including 2018 Bama, 2021 Georgia, 2022 TCU, and 2022 Ohio State.
