if we cut away the “worse” parts of football, for example if g5’s never play p4’s/cupcakes aren’t scheduled, rough & tumble teams never have a chance to get big upsets and prove themselves, so g5 commits go way down! the pipeline of players is damaged and the nfl feels the repercussions too. matchups with good teams bring so much revenue to g5 schools and let them foster a good football experience for their fans and students. god fuckk i could talk so much abt this

cupcake games also let 2nd/3rd stringers have a chance to show what they’ve got, and starters a chance to rest. allows big teams to try funky stuff and keep the sport interesting. godddd
