I just realized something. If every team win out in the top 10 and BYU beats TT, then Alabama would be out of the playoffs if they lose the sec championship. But if they beat A&M who is getting kicked out? You can’t kick out A&M or TT for losing

smu lost 1 game in the the same 12 game span that bama lost 3, and it wasn't in the same stratosphere of embarrassing of JUST the fsu loss this year btw. the fact that bama getting in over them last year was even a conversation is proof of how much they get the red carpet rolled out for them.
