He’s at his alma mater, has an easier path to the playoffs each year, is already loved where he’s at, is at a primarily football school so he’s fine on NIL, and can leverage this situation into a bigger paycheck

There’s “fine on NIL” and then there’s having access to Larry Ellison’s sugar baby and several other massively wealthy alumni. Also I would argue that Michigan provides an easier path to the playoff.
