It’s because every cfb game matters. An nfl team can still make playoffs when their record is 9-8

Why they playoff expanding sucks if they do 28 that’d be terrible

That’s why I gamble.

This was true before expansion but not anymore. 3 loss teams make the CFP now. Teams that lost to every top 25 opponent they played make the playoff now.

who tf wants 28

Yes but there’s no nfl committee that gets to decide undefeated teams aren’t good enough like there is with cfb

Congrats, you ruined the “every game mattering” thing UCF and Western Michigan. Hope it was worth it.

Don’t forget Texas making the playoff despite losing to Georgia twice, pretty decisively proving they were worse (and therefore not national champion material).

Which means college football is now just like every other sport. Regular season is irrelevant as long as you do just good enough to get in the playoffs. That’s when the games start mattering. All of you waiting for the sport to be ruined can open your eyes.

Oregon went 12-0. Great. What’s their reward? An extra game against Pedo State, while An Ohio State got to rest that week.

The games still matter more tho in the nfl and 9-8 team can go to the Super Bowl

The games don’t matter in the NFL so that says nothing. You didn’t think that one through.

Big ten proposed it recently

They are stupid. the twelve team playoff was a trainwreck because most of the games had terrible tv ratings.
