I’ll give you Ohio State doesn’t have an elite schedule. But, if they play through the playoffs and make it to the championship at the same level of dominance, then some people have to admit they were wrong. But… Paper tiger if they drop an early round.

Mostly SEC fans who think SOS = team quality

We’ll get a better look when the playoffs start. There’s only really two outcomes for SEC fans. 1. They’ll watch a lot of SEC teams get deep into the playoff bracket and say they knew it all along. 2. They’ll watch their teams all lose early and see a Big Ten or Big Ten/ACC championship game and claim it’s a rebuilding year for the SEC, blame it on NIL and how SEC teams have too much honor to really throw big money at players or whatever so the championship was bought.

Bottom line, SEC fans will never admit it’s a weak season because it’s just a weak season.

I’m an Ohio State fan. I can admit they don’t have the toughest schedule this year. But one thing everyone has to at least acknowledge I think is their game control. They just never look like they’re playing from a defensive standpoint. One where they’re on their heels and they start to scramble. It says a lot about how they’re clicking with their #1 defense, and a QB whole is in complete control out there along with the best player in college right now as WR.

It showed a gap I think between the number 1 ranked team and the number 2 ranked team after this weekend when Penn State had Indiana until that last catch. The rankings should really look like: 1. Ohio State 2. Gap 3-25. Everyone else

OSU is probably 7 points better than the second best team, which I think is actually Texas

A team CAN get better throughout the season. I don’t know if Texas is worthy of number 2 though. I could see the argument of a top 5 team though. One loss to Ohio State, and the other to an unranked Florida. So let’s say the loss to Ohio State was a true test and Florida was a fluke game. It’s so hard to be perfect all season long. I guess they should feel fortunate there’s 12 teams in this year’s playoffs.

If Indiana is 2, and Oregons only loss was a 30-20 game against Indiana… someone could argue Oregon being a top 5 team as well.

If I had to rank it, I’d say… 1. Ohio State 2. Indiana 3. Oregon 4. Alabama 5. Georgia

I trust Texas over Bama and UGA tbh

Texas has effort issues like Penn State but its clear they’re way better than UGA who is genuine ass in the first half every week

It’s tough to say really. But I believe 1, 2, and 3 all belong to Big Ten right now. Any way you shake up 4-10 in the rankings, it’s all going to be close and probably a valid argument.

I could argue for big 10 top 3 and then ND 4 honestly

I wasn’t sure Ohio State could repeat, but then every week that goes by just seems to reiterate how they could. I’ll say Patricia was one of the smartest moves they could have made. Ohio State was comfortable in getting into these shootouts where it’s just about scoring as much as possible. They had to. Their defense didn’t stop much as talented as the players were. Now? It seems like it was the obvious weak spot all along.

Once osu starts trying on offense its over. Sec fans are judging osu for what they have been, not what they can be
