If ut didn’t play osu they’d be one of the lowest ranked 2-loss teams. With that osu game ut is one of the highest ranked 3-loss teams. They may have been ranked higher by like 2 spots maybe if they didn’t play osu at all, but if they beat osu they’d be top 8 guaranteed borderline top 5. it’s a risk to play those games but the teams know that when they schedule it. Can’t have your cake and eat it too. If osu lost they might be ranked behind Oregon rn, but they won so it paid off.
