I don’t think you guys realize the repercussions if the committee leaves bama out for losing in a conference championship game. They could literally lose 100-0 it won’t matter.
what if georgia just hits bama with a spirit bomb and ND and miami get in instead

If 10-3 Alabama gets in over 9-3 Texas that would be weird because Texas beat 3 top 10 teams lost to Florida Ohio state and Georgia Alabama would’ve lost to Georgia Oklahoma (who Texas beat bad) and fsu (just as bad as Florida) they’d have such similar resumes it’s crazy

bama doesn't have the resume of, say, smu where they were a lock without their chip and just got upset. they got dominated by a terrible fsu, lost to an oklahoma team with no offense, and are generally a fringe team. just simply not the same situation and dropping them two spots wouldn't be that crazy.

Frankly, it doesn’t matter(not saying this is how it should be but) they have the biggest brand in college football. Probably any other sec team in their shoes would be able to justifiably get dropped out if they got ripped to shreds by Georgia, but you slap that script a combined w the fact that they don’t want to penalize someone for losing conference championship, and the fact that they alr beat Georgia and there’s no way they are taking them out

brand does not justify weather or not a team should be in or not

I’m saying if bama is in the playoff right now, pushing them out for a lose would basically eliminate conference championship games

I get that same if Indiana gets punished too much if they loose to Ohio state. No one who is in the running for the cfp would want to play those championships.

No it wouldn’t be weird because they have specifically said teams don’t get punished for losses in the championship games

Yep! That’s why I said that it’s not right but that’s just how the world works!
