Tbf Illinois is not "now" perceived as a bad team. They were possibly the most overrated team of all time at #9

They do have to play 2 good teams this year instead of 1 so that’s already a harder schedule than last year

The ap has been historically bad this year. I think the problem is theres a lot of parity this year and you actually have to do research to get it right (ap voters dont gaf)
