Notre Dame hasn’t won a national championship since 1988 and even then that game was rigged in ND’s favor so they really haven’t won since 1977, almost 50 years ago

only one team wins a championship per year. like i respect slander against other teams, but that doesn’t mean anything.

my team auburn won a natty in 2010, and he had like 3 good seasons in the 2010s. everything else has been shit. what the fuck does that have to do with anything?

It would be meaningless to point out if I were speaking about Kansas or Arizona but Notre Dame is consistently top 5, forced themselves to be independent to make more of TV deals, made special rules to make the CFP yet still haven’t won anything in half a century

they proved themselves when they got to the natty a few years ago. last year for sure they were buns and the committee absolutely made the right call w miami (hindsight 20/20 though).

they really do need to make themselves a harder schedule. same problem with big 10 teams honestly. Ohio State has started moving in the right direction, and if Indiana’s program stays strong they’ll probably do the same. Michigan and Oregon probably won’t because they are bitches. USC has been doing it for years.

lol that 2024 playoff run was kinda fraudulent, lost to NIU then went on to beat an IU team that didn’t beat a ranked team all year, QB-less Georgia and beat James Franklin and Drew Allar

They should just be forced to join a conference, playing mid conference games get tough and top teams struggle with mid conference opponents every year, ND year in year out schedules the bottom of the ACC and big 10 and 1 or 2 good teams a year

I think it’s fine if they don’t. They should just get treated like the MAC teams they play. When G5 teams have crazy good seasons, they aren’t highly regarded. It is bullshit the AP poll has them so high… tbf i’d never join the b1g if i was notre dame after the BS they pulled, and the ACC has looked like shit since NIL.

The run was pretty “bad” if such a thing exists, probably comparable to the patriots. They still put up a hell of a game. And crazy 1 in a million blowouts happen to good teams, it was early in the season yknow.
