I am 100 percent sure Texas is a top 12 team rn however the season is 3 months long and they were not a top 12 team until recently

If they can't be consistent in the season they can't be consistent in the playoffs. To get the best games you need teams who are most likely to play their best. Maybe they put up a top 12 performance this past weekend at home but the playoffs are four away games in a row, I'm not sure they'd be up for it.
