Idk man… there were decades of fighting to get the athletes a portion of what the NCAA was making off of them, it’s just that the solution went too far

The NCAA is not where there money is coming from. Random donors money is completely seperate and completely ruining the sport, and I wouldnt be surprised if its going to have some serious ramifications in 10 years. A lot of athletes going are not budgeting this money correctly.

It doesn’t matter how the athletes are budgeting their own money, that’s up to them, but I was highly against the whole “college athletes don’t need to get paid, they get free degrees” because these athletes are ruining their bodies and making universities millions of dollars, I HIGHLY support the individual over the greedy ass universities

True, but at the same time it’s often insulting to the concept of “higher education”. What’s the whole point of a “well rounded education” if your top football player can’t read?

They were never able to read, even before getting paid, that’s the school’s fault for letting them get away with it. College sports is a business and nothing more, do you side with the individual or the NCAA?
