I don’t think it’s a shitshow. There’s really only one team who could have gone either and required a judgment call by the committee (Bama). All the others are solid. Even poor JMU and Tulane aren’t in question according to the selection criteria. I get why they chose Bama over BYU bc Bama went from 9th to 11th after the loss to Georgia. BYU went from 12th to out of the running when they lost.
