5 auto bids made sense (sort of, to appease them) when pac12 existed, but now it’s just a joke. now the big12 is mostly a joke, even most p4 conferences have so many teams that water down the mix it doesn’t mean anything

should’ve never had autobids in the first place, just the 12 best teams. worked fine in the 4 team system other than some #4-5 arguments

No he’s right, if conference title means nothing then you’d rather NOT play the extra game, get more rest and have a better chance to get in bc you aren’t going to gain an extra loss

it’s actively a disadvantage though. if you’re a program that thinks you can genuinely win it all, why even bother playing that extra game when it gives your players an opportunity get hurt or worn down
