the committee needs to realize that alabama is not saban anymore. the days of “if you give them a shot they might win the whole damn thing” are gone. bama’s last four games are a loss at OU, win against a 3-9 FCS, a close auburn win, and a UGA beating

Oh stop it. I dislike Bama as much as the next person but I don’t think they’ll get run over. I’d rather see them in than byu or nd.

Might be true but I think it would set a really ugly precedent for them to drop 2 spots out of the playoff for losing the conference championship. If they were gonna be ranked lower than ND/Miami, it needed to be before this week. But if a team got dropped out of the playoff for two teams that didn’t have to play that 13th game, I don’t see why teams on the bubble would even agree to play the conference championship games anymore when they could just sit pretty and be fine

Oh stop acting like they deserve it. Notre Dame has gotten better down the stretch Alabama has it stop defending the clear bias.

Bc nd hasn’t played anyone. And the 2 ranked teams they played (Miami and A&M) beat them! If they want to prove they’re better, they need to join a conference and go head to head conference play.

They barely lost to TAMU and Miami and they do have a ranked win over USC. They’ve played the teams in front of them and dominated them meanwhile Alabama has gotten worse. You can’t just write off the FSU loss for Bama while using the first 2 games of the season against Notre Dame.

You don’t have a choice. It’s called a forfeit and an automatic L. BYU was on the bubble. If they’d have won, they’d be in. Bama was not, they were ranked 9th.

USC. 🤣 Barely a top 25 team and never in contention for a cfp run. Then join a conference and prove your value. Otherwise conference teams will get priority.

Moving the goal posts

Well then the schools would probably start lobbying the conferences to get rid of them. And then why would the SEC keep having the conference championship game if it can cost them a CFP spot? And if Bama could’ve been knocked out of the playoff with a loss, then they were on the bubble. The implication that’s what should’ve happened is an implication that they were on the bubble

“ND and they lost to the 2 ranked teams they’ve played” *brings up how they beat a top 25 team later in the season. “Ummm actually that doesn’t count for this because they’re not good enough to me.” Yeah that’s called moving the goal posts.
