1. They earned their way in 2. They won an automatic qualifier 3. The idea that G5 schools should be omitted from any big games is lame 4. The elitism of pure P4 playoffs is a boring idea and ruins the magic of college football
I’ve seen enough after 8 minutes of this game. Tulane is ASS and doesn’t deserve to be in the CFP. Committee sucks

If people care this much about the “highest quality” of matches, go watch the NFL because that’s never what this sport will be

Will Tulane most likely get bta? Yeah sure. But they had a hell of a season and deserve ts

What I don’t understand is why they put Tulane against Ole Miss when Ole Miss already kicked their ass…should’ve swapped Tulane and JMU

We arnt omitting shit if you want to be in the playoff you should be a top twelve team

The playoffs weren’t built to have the most talented teams. It was built to have the most deserving teams. If it was by talent we’d have the same teams year in and year out and that’s BORING

Yup. I’m in favor of NIL but if it’s going to make CFB a minor league then HELL NO. If the SEC wants to be high and mighty go do it somewhere else. Don’t ruin ts for me and other fans

Tulane is a top 12 team. They are conference champs, went 11-2, and have a very talented staff

Maybe Texas/Vandy/ND/BYU should’ve won their games/conference. Not Tulane’s fault in the slightest those teams messed up

Ok all those teams are significantly better than Tulane what are you talking about

Being a top 12 isn’t the entire criteria to get in. That isn’t the criteria because there is no objectively correct way to actually judge that with only 12 teams out of 136

This is how ik you don’t know ball. UNT lost to a scrappy UTSA team who had the second longest home streak at that time. Tulane has been amazing all year with the exception of ole miss

It seems they mean in terms of final CFP rankings. Objectively they aren’t, but I’m guessing your argument is that it SHOULD be the top 12 regardless of anything else. Maybe use context clues when reading?

They also beat Duke, ACC champs, Memphis, who was almost the g5 rep, and UNT, another almost g5 rep who had a top 5 qb this year

Again. They had the second longest home streak at 25. It’s hard to beat UTSA at home. The UTSA qb is underrated. You do not know ball and it’s okay but you should pipe down

Again- you are basing this on the rankings. The rankings are not the end all be all. If you legitimately think that they are: YOU ARE DUMB

I’m basing this on the fact that Tulane does not have as good a resume as Vandy Texas Utah byu or Notre dame

Tulane has a better resume than all those teams. Tulane has a better record than everyone except BYU (their records are identical). Tulane is the only conference game out of the teams you mentioned. They won the automatic qualifier. The other teams did not. Simple as that

I legit think you just hate the magic of college football bro. If you want to watch elite players play at the highest level go watch the nfl. Ts is supposed to be FUN. The same teams from the same conference is boring and destroys the meaning of regular season conference play

If the committee wants them in? Fine just don’t make them replay a game where they already got their asses kicked

I would’ve preferred that as well but my assumption was the automatic qualifier was the reason for the rematch

upvote 3 downvote

Yeah but like both teams were auto qualifiers so putting one team against a team they got destroyed by is just the committee trying to embarrass them for what 😭

I feel like people forget cfb was intended for amateur or recreational play, not to be a feeder system for the NFL.
