Move the transfer portal open date to May, only give players one free transfer, an additional one if their head coach leaves, make them sit out a year on their 2nd transfer (no loss on a year of eligibility tho). This seems reasonable, no?
May? What about early spring? They need to register, find housing, etc. Even better, move bowl season up. I saw it posted somewhere, bowls every Saturday in December with championship on New Year’s Day.

The issue with this is that it ultimately would lower student athletes freedom to be less than an ordinary student, who can theoretically transfer schools as many times as they wish.

May is a little too far out but def after the national championship, make national signing day after the national championship too

Well normal students aren’t getting bands on bands from schools OR regarded as employees by courts, these kids can’t have their cake and eat it too

Basically makes them finish out their academic year at whatever program their at with time to reenroll and transfer to another school in time for summer term and summer workouts
