it shouldnt matter. at some point, that play has to be over. if he’s caught the ball, gotten two feet down, then controlled it until he’s completely out of bounds and THEN it gets punched out by a defensive player it should be a TD.

The play would have been over if he were standing. But he literally got hands that ball and even as he got feet down was going to the ground.

Like what matters is where does the process of the fall begin. answer the fall started as he got his first foot down therefore he has to maintain possession through the ground.
