Pitt’s QB is out for the season so that point is BS, but I do still think they should be #1 rn as long as they get dropped pretty far as soon as Cristobal does his signature loss to an unranked team

Pitt is overrated and they have 0 ranked wins because wake forest wasn’t ranked and even so now that they are, it’s not a impressive quality win because they struggled to put them away and they nearly lost to FSU

Literal r3trd logic it doesn’t matter if they were ranked if they are ranked now. Also every national champion over the last decade has beat a mediocre opponent by less than 2 scores. Miami FSU has also always been close no matter the records.

You don’t know how it works, if a team plays another team that isn’t ranked at the time but they become ranked it doesn’t count as a ranked win

yeah and that’s a problem with cfb, if you beat 12 ranked teams that all finish unranked, claiming you won 12 ranked games is r3trded, if you beat 12 unranked opponents that all finish ranked it’s more impressive and matters more

That should be valued higher than beating a ranked team that isn’t ranked by the end of the season (*cough* teams that beat Penn State last year *cough*)
