As a non biased party (Clemson fan) the Iron Bowl is so better. What other rivalry has moments like the Kick Six, Gravedigger, Harvey Updyke, and just the utter hate that the rivalry brings. Sure The Game is tense but it has no moments like the Iron Bowl

I mean hell look at how it affected the BCS and Playoffs. Saban teams were often propelled into the postseason by how the Iron Bowl went. Auburn’s spotlight in the early/mid 2010s was defined by upstaging Bama

I don't even know where this discussion is coming from, one is at 11am the other at 6:30, aren't we all watching both games? Texas A&M at texas the night before as well. Rivalry weekend is a whole weekend, not just one game.

How many times has the iron bowl been a ranked matchup since like 2000 compared to the game? How many times has it had playoff/bowl/natty implications since the 2000s compared to the game? How many conference title implications have there been in comparison? In every metric one has consistently been far more consequential. The iron bowl hasn’t mattered since 2017 because it’s just been a good/great bama team vs mid/shitty Auburn team. One game consistently airs better despite constantly 1/2

Being a noon game. And talking about utter hate after the brawl that broke out last year, the cheating scandals, and even the fact that (ironically) Nick Saban (of all people) today said that he doesn’t understand why osu and Michigan fans are so obsessed with each other and that it’s just another game. The iron bowl is all flash and no substance.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. There are so many times it was just a good Alabama team that played down to a mid Auburn team I just forgot about it. Don’t know what part of my comment that was supposed to debunk if anything it just proved my point it’s all flash and no substance.

Oh yeah I love watching a game with no stakes that occasionally produces a memorable moment. And sure nobody wants to watch the game that’s why the game constantly trounces the iron bowl in terms of viewership.
