
I did some studying and apparently there was this governor that did a lot of good things like make schools and hospitals but apparently he was super corrupt and got assassinated. But the thing is he was so corrupt that he started the culture of bribery so that’s why the infrastructure is so poor because apparently to build anything in Louisiana you gotta bribe 37 separate bureaucrats.
Idk Nebraska and Utah seem surprisingly satisfactory. Also I know Minnesota is primarily a blue state but they also have a fairly strong Republican base, and they are pretty happy also. Keep in mind net happiness also includes stuff like quality of living and things like infrastructure etc etc. (also Hawaii is a blue state but I highly doubt they are the happiest state in the Union)
