You can’t say “well Alabama’s first half of the season justifies a playoff bid” while simultaneously saying the FSU loss doesn’t matter because it’s week 1. Alabama should be left out and put Miami in ranked higher than ND.

Miami also beat FSU, common opponents anyone?

If this is what you want you don’t care about putting the best teams in

No one is saying that, Alabama‘s middle season where they literally beat four ranked teams in a row justifies the playoff bid

So they didn’t start like ass and end like ass? You just need one good stretch to make it in?

Only two of those teams is still ranked. Of those two, one just put belt to ass on Bama last night.

2 of them are unranked, one’s best win is Missouri, the other just beat the bricks off Alabama.

Oh, so we’re doing retroactive rankings now? Cool. Keep that same energy for the teams ranked above us. Oregon and Indiana are sitting in the Top 5 partially because they beat a 'ranked' Penn State team that finished 6-6. If you delete wins because the opponent fell off, half the playoff field has a strength of schedule of zero. Funny how that math only applies to Bama.

Neither of those teams has three Ls. Just win your games lmao

Bama is not a top 10 team in the country, stop lying to yourself

Penn State wasn’t ranked when Indiana beat them they were already #2 when they won that game. Your team lost 3 games once to an unranked team the other was a blowout. You’re basically in the same spot as Texas honestly.

Bama has regressed bad this second half of the season but what I want is for the most deserving teams to make it and Alabama doesn’t deserve it. They didn’t deserve it last year and they don’t deserve it this year.

See but your bias deserving is a subjective thing in your bias

But a Miami team that couldn’t make their title game in a conference that isn’t getting any autobid representation is top 10?😂

They don’t have three losses and the beat Notre Dame

Texas has 9 wins. We have 10. We played for a conference title; they didn't. If we just count regular season, we are 10-2 with a way harder schedule. Next.

Why are you acting like Alabama losing in a championship game should count against them when Miami couldn’t even make it to a championship game in an objectively worse conference?

It counted against: 2015 Iowa, 2017 Auburn, 2018 Georgia, 2019 Georgia, 2022 USC, and 2023 Georgia. Why wouldn’t it count against Bama?

In a 4 team playoff system? Yea not the same in the slightest. Obviously Alabama is not a top 4 team, but losing a conference championship to a top 5 team doesn’t mean you aren’t top 10

Best is subjective, deserving not really since you can actually quantify that. Bama has 3 losses, Miami 2. Bama and Miami have a common opponent Miami won Bama got blown out. Miami’s 2 losses were close, Bama had 2 blow out losses.

Getting blown out by them after playing down to a shitty an Auburn team and getting beat by Oklahoma with no offense is pretty undeserving.

That Oklahoma team that is in the playoffs btw, so is that Georgia team that they lost to (and also beat in Athens)

Oh you’re doing the thing again where you’ve been using the first half of the season to be like oh we deserve to be ranked while also completely dismissing the first game because it was a loss. You have cognitive dissonance.

That’s still the first half of the season that’s still a long time ago man and look how Bama has played since losing to a no offense having Oklahoma, playing down to an awful Auburn with no hc, getting unloaded on by Kirby Smart with the most bottled up rage I’ve seen an hc play with. That wasn’t a long time ago but none of you want Bama to be punished for it.
