I’m probably just being a ignorant LSU fan but realistically what reason would Lane take a job coaching at Alabama if the seat opens in a few years. Especially if he is having winning seasons at LSU early on

The second DeBoer moves on from Bama, Kiffin is gonna have his eyes on that job

He’ll take a job coaching at SUNY Buffalo if they pay him more.

Yea true you never know with Lane Kiffin but what does he really gain moving to Alabama other than history? He will always be in the shadow of Saban there. Especially if he has his name established at LSU by the time the Alabama position opens it just does not outweigh the pros of moving to Alabama

Once again, this is lane Kiffin we’re talking about. You literally have no idea what his next move will be, it doesn’t matter

This is Lane Kiffin we are talking about you never know but every move I see is a lateral move, LSU is a top program, a dream coaching position. Once again look at Saban and what he has said, being one of Kiffin biggest mentos

That’s my point though, as much as this may hurt to hear, while yes LSU is a top program, Alabama is a clearly better program, and Bama is where he got back on his feet after the USC debacle. And the NFL is most likely his end goal, but who knows its lane Kiffin

You really just watched what he did to Tennessee and Ole Miss and think that the same shit won’t happen to you?

When Nick Saban quit that was the top job in the country EASILY. Money aside, head coach at Alabama is the highest head coaching position hands down. Like that’s an insane status symbol
