Thats fair, I really only diss the ACC because they’ve got a crisis on their hands with both conference payouts and their best schools threatening to leave. With what they’ve become after Texas and OU left the Big XII, they’ve lost the prestige that they’ve built up. I get why some would say that the Big XII is a weaker conference, but they managed to survive realignment with the deck stacked against them, and I don’t see the ACC doing the same

Besides, a Lincoln Riley defense isn’t winning in the CFP. There’s a reason why the sole win the Big XII had from the playoffs wasn’t from Oklahoma or Texas

It looks like more teams in the conference are trending that direction. ISU had a good defense paired with star wide receivers before their entire linebacker squad got injured by week 8, K-State had the promising rookie quarterback with a good enough defense to shut down the Heisman winner (same with BYU), and of course there’s ASU. It’ll take playoff wins from the conference for perception to change of course, but I have hope that the optional defense era of the conference is over

Without Yormark the Big XII would’ve collapsed by the time Texas and Oklahoma left, he saved the conference with what he did
