I mean according to the SEC, scheduling good non-conference games isn’t worth it and scheduling cupcakes makes up for the gauntlet they play in the regular season. If you check their 2026 schedule, they play Indiana, Ohio State, Oregon and Washington, and if Penn State is good again that’s on there too.

needing to axe a century old rivalry because you're not good enough to try and make the playoffs is pathetic, even more so when they miss the playoffs without the ND game being a factor like riley's first three years
