8 was always the right number and now we’ll never get it. P5 conference champs + highest ranked G5 + 2 at large regardless of conference affiliation. Matchups would be decided via an updated BCS system and higher ranked teams would have home games. 1/2

Actually part 3- it is far past time to end catering to conferences (looking at you SEC). We HAVE to prioritize and make sure that the regular season AND conference record matters. The current system AND the proposed new model do not accommodate for the importance of either. My system prioritizes both conference record and OOC strength of schedule. Want to get in as the fringe SEC or Big10 team but don’t think you’ll beat an OSU or UGA? Schedule a tough OOC and win
