He didn’t get fired. He stepped down

Why would he retire after he had been at Utah for thirty years. He could've let his legacy speak for itself. He was quietly fired. They basically forced him to "step down"

They announced the coach in waiting 2 or 3 years ago I believe. I think the UM offer is what finally prompted him to jump ship
