My favorite part abt Miami getting in is it also shuts down the TexASS crybaby argument that “there will be no incentive for teams to schedule quality nonconference opponents!!11!1!1” because beating ND is the ENTIRE reason Miami made it

If Miami played a cupcake and went 11-1 there would be no argument for ND tho?? (outside of Bama dropping)

(1) if Miami played a cupcake they’d still be 10-2 but not in the playoff bc their losses were to ACC teams, not ND

(2) BYU was ranked behind ND at 11-1 before the Big 12 Championship and played a harder schedule than Miami (with their 1 loss being to a top 5 team). If Miami didn’t play ND and beat either Louisville or SMU, they’d prob still be ranked behind ND at 11-1. Would be moot bc they’d make the ACCCG in that case
