Yea Missouri is a top 15 team if their QB didn’t get hurt against Vandy, or if they somehow pull of an A&M blindside this weekend

This is actually pretty similar to what I was expecting, and I def like this more than the AP rankings… the one part I really don’t get is Utah over Virginia and Louisville. 2 losses and 0 wins over currently ranked teams vs teams that each have 1 loss and wins over ranked teams. I guess you could argue Virginia played close against shitty opponents, but Texas is #11 so it doesn’t seem like they care too much abt that.

I mean I don’t see a single power 4 team that should be ahead of them, but I would have Memphis and North Texas ranked.

Memphis has 0 ranked wins and lost to UAB, UNT isn’t even the second G5 team to rank, USF is. CFP committee got 95% of the top 25 correct

Most of the teams ranked from 21-25 have zero ranked wins. And there are plenty that also have a bad loss.

Ole Miss has one ranked win and probably zero because Oklahoma will be unranked soon. They barely beat garbage teams by one scores: Arkansas, Kentucky, Washington state etc

yeah but those teams have ranked losses and higher quality wins playing in harder conferences, it doesn’t matter tho

cuz memphis and USF control their own destiny’s right now, win out and they get the G5 spot, UNT only needs to win out and hope either memphis or USF drop another regular season game to get the G5 spot

USF played one bad fourth quarter relax, they choked the lead against memphis but realistically is the better team, they just got comfortable. and USF beat North Texas by 30 points 3 weeks ago😭😭

The problem is we know the pecking order and it’d be useless just to including all 4 when you know the pecking order. (1) sec champion (am or bama) (2) sec loser (am or bama) (3) georgia (bama beat goeriga) (4) ole miss (Georgia beat ole miss)

LSU lost to 2 top 7 teams and a top 20 team and is 5-3 that is the definition of a solid win and not a good win

They struggled with the eye test all of september mate. Not a good team. Theres nuance to this stuff, not just “good wins” and “good losses”

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

Every team has weeks where they aren’t playing good and I think Iowa is by far the worst of the current two loss big 10 teams so yeah that gap is definitely deserved and probably should be bigger cause mich clears Iowa

upvote 1 downvote

i said they weren’t , solid wins consist of teams right above .500 that have losses to really good teams

Usc is the team that really should be higher, they are borderline top 10 in the advanced metrics

upvote 1 downvote

Mich being the highest of those makes sense. I agree texas and nd are the best 2 loss teams but theres really no need to move the big 10 cluster down

Oh i do not think Notre dame should be in the top 10

upvote 1 downvote

Along with the eye test, which nd is passing rn

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

ND is the same team they were in week 1 and week 3 the only difference is they aren’t playing teams that have a chance to make the playoff

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

ND eye test look better than week 1, but with that logic winning games means nothing anymore, as long as you look good in the future ur good, which quite honestly is ruining football

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

Well a 1 point loss to the 3rd team is playoff worthy

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

Nah, theres a balance. If they were 3-5 i wouldnt have the same sentiment

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

ND was en route to being blown out by Miami and the refs kept them in it giving them a TD to go down 7 handing them momentum into the 4th quarter eventually tying the game, it really should’ve been 28-7 Miami with the ball in the late third

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1w

Didn’t know that about that game but going by scores and stats the only thing that has looked different has been the level of opponents

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

ND is winning by more than Miami on average though, and in a way they are both acc teams

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

ND just beat the worst team in the acc by 15 points and probably second worst team in the p4.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

Yea but thats one game and their heart wasnt in it. Its not a georgia scenario where they are genuinely hanging from a cliff every week

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

to be fair georgia has always been hanging from a cliff every week but they always stay in or win those big games vs bama, tennessee, LSU etc.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

Georgia also beat the top 10 team they played at home

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

And they looked like dogshit in that game, in fact miss has looked better in the rest of the season than uga

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

Uga needs to stop only showing up when they want to. This is becoming a bit of a trend, dating back to last year’s 1 point win over UK

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

If they looked like dog shit in a game they won what does that say about Notre dame in the same situation.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

Nuance buddy, nuance. You cant just look at wins and losses. And you cant single out one game. All eight games matter

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

Ok than let’s use what you said about Georgia in the ole Miss game that they played like shit and look at nd full schedule. It goes week 1: shit bye week 3: shit week 4: good offense bad defense week 5: elite week 6: solid week 7: elite week 8: great week 9: disappointing.

upvote 1 downvote

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

I’m using your logic

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

Because uga has an insane home field advantage and ole miss led almost the whole game. Oregons win over osu last year wasnt that good either

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

ND actually doesnt have a huge home field advantage, i think uga proved that in 2017 with all the red

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon

You are not using a week 1 or 2 game the year after a 4-8 season and comparing it to coming off a national championship loss

I don’t see how that matters at all you still have to get students excited to come watch them and them sucking the year before isn’t gonna make students go. Also you are acting like it was ucla taking over the stadium.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #8 1w

Cus it kinda was lmao, and also im not putting everything into ugas win over ole miss, because it was their best win of the season. What about auburn florida and austin peay

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #13 1w

Sounds like to you anyway week 2 results don’t matter so that clears the Austin peay game. And than the Auburn game is a lot like the Boise state game for nd they struggled in the first half and than shut them down in the second. Than they sucked against Florida and should have lost but Florida had bad play calling and beat them self.
