Idk why Ohio state fans get so fucking upset when you say they have had an easy schedule. It’s a fact. They objectively have played an easy schedule. You have one real team and it’s week 1 at home. I’m not saying you could help it it’s just true

Because the vast majority of the time when it’s said it’s done to undermine how good they are/how deserving they are of being number 1.

I don’t see how that changes the fact that it’s just the truth and they did have an easy schedule.

Oh lord lemme walk you through this The OG post says “why do OSU fans get so mad when you say they have an easy schedule” Number 3 responded and basically said “we get mad because people are implying that we are bad” I said “that doesn’t change the fact that they have an easy schedule”

I never said they didn’t have one… I said ppl get defensive because of the way the fact is used. It’s not used like a “oh fun fact btw” it’s most often used to say “is osu actually good they haven’t truly been tested yet.” The vast majority of the time ppl aren’t saying “osu is a tough and damn good team even though their opponents haven’t turned out to be as dominant as expected.” The defensiveness isn’t a mass delusional or denial it’s defending their team being worthy of respect.

Having a cupcake schedule doesn’t disqualify them from being a good team but you honestly can’t act like they’re heads and shoulders above everybody else until they’ve played an actual team People are acting like they are unstoppable when there hasn’t really been anyone good enough to stop them because all of their games would have gone the same if played by teams ranked right below them

If 2019 LSU played in the sun belt would that have fundamentally changed anything about them? No. They would still have been 2019 LSU whether they played an SEC schedule or not. Ppl act like they’re unstoppable because they’re hitting one of the key hallmarks of being a damn good team and that’s beating the shit out of the teams they’re supposed to beat the shit out of.

Yeah the talent would’ve been the same but they’d no longer have the best season of all time. Rn they’re so highly regarded because they had 7 top 10 wins
