What happened to the game we love? Maybe we’ll have a 64 team tournament by the end of the decade

24 teams no auto bids. Any g5 that are actually good will be ranked in the top 24

Why even have a regular season with 24 teams

Because these additional games are already happening as bowl games anyway. Might as well make them mean something again

Cool. Let’s make every bowl a part of the playoff to make them mean something. How about an 84 team playoff? 42 bowl games to really make them all “mean something”

If you genuinely think the 7 three loss teams and 4 loss Iowa that were ranked in the top 24 this year deserved to have a shot at the National Championship you are not a college football fan and should go watch the NFL. The better way to make bowls matter is to select a small playoff field after a traditional bowl season

(Or just not have a playoff at all and make bowl games an actual privilege to play in instead of a participation trophy)
