He is a good QB but not comparable Joe Burrow and that 2019 LSU team is miles ahead

are we sure? 2019 LSU had close-ish games in the playoff. This indiana team is embarrassing playoff teams.

The teams lsu was playing in the playoffs were better than the ones this year the stats prove that

uh both that they played have been closer than these two with alabama and oregon. I’m not saying Indiana is definitely better than LSU, but i’m arguing that we can’t say they were “miles” ahead of

Why not LSU had a hell of a team and who does Indiana have? Mendoza and that’s it it’s not comparable at all. Look at the teams LSU played back then and look at what teams Indiana has played this year

yes but we had no clue then that Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson would be the best 2 recievers in the NFL. Yes we knew they were damn good, but not top 2 in NFL. in 5 years, what if mendoza has 2 MVPs and sarratt has 2 OPOY. i’m not saying that will happen, it’s unlikely, but we just don’t know yet

I’m not saying that Mendoza isn’t good my point was that this years Indiana team can not compare to 2019 LSU. That LSU team is arguably the best modern day cfb team.

yeah it can’t compare rn because these guys haven’t showed how good they are on an NFL level. theoretically every player on indiana could become an NFL all-pro. they obviously won’t, but we simply do not know yet, so you can’t just say LSU is miles ahead when you don’t know

It’s not about years from now it’s about the 2 teams and their respective years (2019 LSU vs 2025 Indiana) The 2025 season is almost over Indiana has only one game left to play even then the team stats is significantly less than 2019 LSU (who had the tougher schedule). I’m talking college season vs college season not about who they become but who they are now so even if Indiana wins the Natty it will never measure up to the 2019 LSU team plan and simple

Statistically, LSU was not whooping ass in the playoff as well as indiana is right now, so i completely disagree with you

they are averaging a -37 point spread in the playoffs, and the game ain’t over. that’s no debate

Because Indiana isn’t playing teams at the same caliber as the teams LSU had to play let's get real. Indiana has played a weaker Alabama team and a weak Oregon team. Indiana wouldn't be as good as they are right now if they played in 2019

all ranked in the top 10 when indiana played them besides maybe iowa- who did just beat a top 12 ranked vanderbilt

Yes give me nothing…everyone of those teams didn’t play anyone fr and they “good teams” they lost too, alabama was weak this year, a lot of Vandy was their QB (and he’s a pos btw), and you said decent I didn’t want decent so you proved my exact point

I will give it to iowa but again a lot of Vandy wins did come from Pavia so i’m interested to see how they do without him next year

yeah but then you’re arguing that the whole season there wasn’t a single good team man. we gotta stop with the “alabama was weak” “vandy was weak” “ohio state was weak”. only 1 team can win the national championship, just like every other year.

but yes, diego pavia is a huge POS and i hope he’s one of those NFL players that blows all of his money and goes bankrupt

Yes only one team you’re right and cignetti is a hell of a coach and Mendoza is a good player so if they win they will have deserved it but let’s be honest this years Ohio State team did play a cupcake schedule they played no one and got beat by Indiana and then Miami and statistically speaking these last few years Alabama has been a weaker than normal team but again this is to say that Indiana would not be able to compete against the teams back in 2019

yes and i could definitely go and pick apart the teams from 2019, specifically oklahoma, who was ranked inside the top 5 every year and never to this day won a playoff game. we could sit here and pick apart those 2019 teams all day too. it’s just a silly argument

you have to admit it was a different ball game back then it was more gritty than it is now and I don’t think Indiana would be able to hang the defenses back then we’re so dominant and offensively were elite. It’s not about picking teams apart I’m simply saying while Indiana has been great this year they simply aren’t on the same level as 2019 teams

if you wanna talk gritty about 2002 sure, but 2019? Hell most of indianas players were on JMU in 2019, they are the team of super super seniors bro

At the end of the day 2019 LSU goes down in history as one of the best cfb teams of all time and they were fun and likable guys whose names a lot of people remember. There is only one name that comes to mind with Indiana and if they win they will be in the history but it will never have the impact of 2019 LSU and that’s that nothing else for us to debate about their impact will never be as big
