SEC on its third year in a row without a team in the natty, meanwhile the Big Ten is guaranteed its 4th team to make a natty in the last 3 seasons and has a chance for its 3rd straight natty with a third different team

If sec were to win a natty and go undefeated in bowl games next year would they then be the best conference? Bc i don’t think so, there’s no dominant conference anymore it’s going to switch consistently bc there’s all new teams every single year for every single team

I’d say for that season, they probably would be but consistently, no. It’s true that at the moment there is no single dominant conference, my point is it isn’t the SEC anymore despite many of those fans still acting like it and it isn’t (yet) but trending towards Big Ten being the future dominant conference.

Saban is unarguably one of the best coaches in CFB history and the SEC used to be the dominant conference in the sport… so yeah, makes sense. Saban retired and the SEC has fallen off. Your comment doesn’t speak much about Bama’s current state or the SEC’s current state though, if that’s what you were going for
