I think it was a mistake winning the first few games. If A&M was able to save its wins for conference games then it'd have a shot at going to the SEC championship. If you get there with only seven wins you can use your last one to win and get the auto bid for the playoffs. Beating UTSA, Utah State, and Notre Dame leaves the Aggies with only five wins left this season and shows poor long-term planning.
