Probably true but there’s always gonna be some teams unhappy with the way things play out regardless of the format, I think the autobids + 7 “at large” teams is a good way to balance making sure a handful of conferences are represented with making sure you get the best teams in for the most part. The byes for conference champions was a mistake and I’m glad they fixed that. I don’t think they should scrap the format just because it played out a bit oddly this year
