Then it’s a conflict of interests, he can’t do both. And for the leadership and alumni of the university that would be a horrible look to let him get away with this type of immature threat.

if they wanted him to step back in the case that lsu and ole miss played each other that’s fine but for him to sit out of the entire cfp when that will obviously have a negative impact on the team is insane, kiffin wouldn’t have had to make that threat if leadership let him coach his team

No you’re too zoomed in on the playoffs: look at when the portal starts. Who says he isn’t shipping players off or too busy focusing on getting transfer players than on the game plan while there is no true head coach to try and pull portal players for Ole Miss. He could actually implode next year’s team. This guy is already a dirtbag that doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.

He QUIT on the team, there’s no reason to let coaches continue just like if a player transfers they don’t get to continue. It’s only fair if he decides to quit on the team and quits on the university, he doesn’t deserve to finish the season.
