That’s not right for Texas tech to stay in the same spot right after a win against a top 10. A dominant one

Miss the glory days when you could pencil bama or Georgia in the finals. No team has looked great this year. The problem I have is you have a bunch of sec teams who called look meh but you know the pecking order. Why include all of them? A&M is undefeated. Bama beat Georgia, Georgia beat ole Miss. strength of reschedule: bama, Georgia, ole Miss. A&M, bama and Georgia get in. If Texas wins out (will have beat three top 7 teams) then Texas, if not then Georgia.

OU was like 20 years ago. OSU has been good but not dominating. Actually I think it’s better when you have dominating teams. More hype when your team plays. Means more if your team wins. Means more when they lose. Having garbage teams week in and week out compete with top teams, are top teams even top? Auburn and MS state could easily be undefeated

No idea how you pulled that from my takes 😂 I would maybe believe that if Ohio State proved themselves but their schedule is so puss

If Notre Dame has proven themselves more thru their schedule either it’s a terrible conference issue or extremely weak schedule issue or BOTH. In this case for OSU it’s both💀

Texas (10) beat OU (11) and Vandy (13). Lost to Ohio State (1) and Florida (unranked) and they all have the same W-L record. They’re exactly where they should be unless you believe OU and Vandy should also drop farther back, which isn’t a bad “the SEC is overrated argument”, but ppl keep complaining about TX and never mention OU or Vandy. But they’ll likely lose to Georgia (5) this week so who knows how they’ll tank versus Vandy and Oklahoma after that happens.

The loss to Florida should factor in more.

Which is fine but they proved on the field to be better than OU and Vandy and all 3 have the same record. So OU and Vandy should also drop farther back.

Oh and also if we’re creating a standard where cherry picked losses mean more than why aren’t people complaining that Bama should drop more since they lost to Florida State.

upvote 1 downvote

because tx sucks ass and got lucky those games. OU would’ve beaten them easily if their qb was healthy

Bama Georgia and ole Miss are all at one loss. Bama beat Georgia and Georgia beat ole Miss. strength of schedule is in that order also. The problem isn’t the order the problem is where do you insert this string. It seems like record is most important then head to head.

I agree but people keep saying “why is Texas ranked 10” and the answer is actually really simple, it’s because OU is ranked 11th and Vandy 13th. Then someone says “the loss to Florida should hurt Texas more” and all I’m saying is that cherry picking losses can become arbitrary if it’s not applied equally across the board.
