As a neutral, saying that doesn’t even make sense. Iowa state was a better 2 seed than Houston and arguably Purdue, and Virginia was a better 3 seed than Gonzaga

It’s within the context of those games. Sec officials in all 3 games, Miami Ohio was over rated. Virginia over rated based on strength of schedule, and ISU was down their best player more importantly the best big between the two teams.
