like no question they are undefeated and that is definitely insane. But they’re barely beating bad teams and if they faced one quad 4 opponent they would be blown out.

not the players fault. But the people who scheduled their preseason games chose easier team to play. Just cause a high school team goes undefeated doesn’t mean they’ll be the Washington Wizards. Not anyone’s “fault” but there are tiers especially in college sports

So if they schedule easier teams and the mac isn’t as good this year, why did none of them schedule Miami

I just don’t understand what you’re getting at? it’s easier to beat easier teams. While it’s certainly possible they can win a round or two in the tournement if you can barely beat the worst teams you’re not that good objectively. I feel like that’s not a controversial opinion.

I’m saying you can’t say that quad 1 teams schedule easier opponents as their non-con as an excuse for why they didn’t schedule Miami OH while essentially calling Miami OH an easy opponent

Oh I was just saying that miami ohio has the option to play power 4 teams at least once for non conference. If you wanna be considered with the best you gotta play a power 4 team to contextualize your wins. I’m routing for them, but I just don’t have any basis to consider them a great team.
