A lot of Duke fans are probably laughing about Davis getting fired. I’m not…I’m worried about the following
- UNC gets much better coach (think Cignetti for Indiana football)
- Resulting coaching carousel affects Duke
Yeah except UNC basketball isn’t Indiana football you nincompoop

It’s really really hard to guess what who we’ll pull in. Lot of variables. I would wait before worrying. In the meanwhile, Duke looks pretty fine if it remains on the trajectory it’s on

My point would be that like Cignetti did for Indiana football, whoever UNC basketball’s next coach is turns UNC into a juggernaut

All that aside, my biggest concern is the second bullet

You would think, but there’s a non-zero chance the Bulls end up talking to Scheyer if Donovan leaves. I can’t imagine those talks going anywhere, but I’m still worrying about it lol

As for UNC, I have no doubt your program will grab someone great

It’s really really hard to guess. Anyone who is already “proven” and arguably championship-bound (i.e. Dusty May) is probably not incentivized to leave for a mild salary bump and twice the pressure, but anyone who isn’t “proven” is the program taking a risk
