I’ve never heard of the cylinder rule. This is news to me 😭

Yeah refs don’t call it save for a few that actually remember the rule. It was a controversial call in Houston/Iowa State in Big 12 play last year too. Basically, an offensive player is entitled to an imaginary cylinder extending the width of their shoulders. The ball does not extend the cylinder.
